Indigenous Foods Expo - Duluth, MN

Join us on September 21, 2019 for our Indigenous Foods Expo - the first public, large-scale event of its kind in Duluth! Free and open to the public!

At the Indigenous Foods Expo we will feature local and regional healthy and Indigenous food vendors, cooking and food processing demos featuring Chef Sean Sherman, Founder of the Company The Sioux Chef, music featuring Annie Humphrey and others, cultural arts activities, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, games, and more.

This event is a chance for us to share the story and history about our Indigenous foods as well as our connection and relationship to the natural land. We will be re/introducing our community to healthier foods and our Indigenous foods, musicians and artists, healthy activities, and supporting Indigenous, diverse, and local food producers, farmers, and entrepreneurs.

This free, family-oriented and community-wide inclusive event will be held at Niiwin Indigenous Foods Market at 102 E. 4th Street and Central Hillside Park in Duluth between the hours of 11 am - 3 pm.

We are aiming for this to be a ZERO waste event as this aligns with Indigenous values and food sovereignty principles.
